DSGi Attracts UK Crowds with Store Transformation Programme
DSGi’s recently opened a PC World-Currys hybrid store in Fulham, which is part of a larger store transformation programme.
- As part of the programme, DSGi is concentrating on closing a part of its smaller Currys digital stores, and opening Currys megastores and PCWorld-Currys hybrid storess.
- The group has already opened 100 new or refurbished megastores in the UK to date, with plans to open another 60 stores.
- DSGI’s initiative is in line with proven electronics specialist Best Buy’s UK market entry in spring of 2010, which will further increase the competitive pressure in the market. Best Buy announced plans to open 70 large stores until 2015.
