20 Nov 2009 —  Top Managers Depart from Aldi Süd

Managers Armin Burger and Konstantinos Razos have surprisingly left the management of German discounter Aldi Süd.

• Armin Burger was a long-time Aldi Süd manager and member of the discounter's Coordination Committee.
• Burger past through several top management positions and led the discounter's expansion eastward as Managing Director at Hofer in Austria before his current interim role in the UK.
• He was expected to substitute Jürgen Kroll on the company's board before differences with the board regarding business policy led to his departure.
• Top procurement manager Konstantinos Razos, who has been working closely together with Burger, has left the company as well. He helped Aldi's development in Greece and Switzerland before joining Aldi Einkauf, the procurement in Mülheim, where he was responsible for finance and administration.
