US home improvement chain Lowe’s has opened its first store in Mexico in the northern industrial city of Monterrey on Friday, February 5, 2010.

  • The store, which is 94,000 square feet in size, will stock around 32,000 different items.
  • Lowe’s plans to open five such stores in Monterrey over the next few years, with an average investment of around USD 100 million.
